CrossFit in Europe

Although I have a love/hate relationship with CrossFit, I do credit it with introducing me to some of my best friends and some of the smartest, nicest, funniest people I know. It really eased the burden of not knowing anyone when I moved to California, so there was no question in my mind that I’d join a CrossFit gym in Frankfurt.

My new gym, CrossFit FRA, and CrossFit in general, is relatively new in Germany. It’s kind of exciting to get back to the basics of CrossFit…just working out, having fun, and not really thinking too much about it.

So I went to Copenhagen with my new gym to watch the European Regionals competition. It was so cool to see two of the top female CrossFit athletes compete. One of the trainers from FRA also competed, and was the only woman from Germany to make it to regionals. It was great fun and so inspiring when she broke away in one of the workouts and we all started counting her reps as a crowd: “eins, zwei, drei…”
