A perfect New Year’s Eve dinner, sponsored by Whole Foods: bison burger and kale salad, Flackers and hummus, Terra root chips and guac, Pellegrino!
First post of the year and I’m sitting on Brenda’s comfy couch in LA watching TV, drinking tea, snacking on Whole Foods leftovers, and about to go for a walk in the sun. And I just found out the Ravens play the Steelers on Saturday. I must say, so far 2015 is perfect.
After a short layover in London yesterday, I hopped on my 10 hour flight back to the future. Somehow I was upgraded, so champagne and a fully reclining seat made the flight not that bad. Oh, and afternoon tea and scones in the air too!
It really felt great to land in America. When I was elbowed out of the way at baggage claim by a woman wearing a beadazzled purple velour track suit, I knew I was home!
Brenda picked me up (what a saint!) and surprised me by immediately taking me to Whole Foods in Venice (our old hangout). We picked up our old staples, I chatted with the produce guys, and all was right in the world.
We rang in the new year on her couch, with our Whole Foods treats and Ryan Seacrest (while admitting we didn’t know who any of the performers were). By midnight, I had been up for 28 hours. As soon as 12:01 hit, it was lights out and bedtime!
Today’s plans: go to yoga, go to the beach, see more friends and soak it all in. And wear my yoga pants all day.
