I got some unsolicited advice today that I could handle.

When talking about upcoming vacations with a colleague (a topic that is always relevant and often discussed with Germans), she offered this advice: “You’re young and single, with no responsibilities, so why not travel?”

Ok, I agree with most of this statement. Come on, NO responsibilities?? Doesn’t harrassing people at the farmers’ market count as a responsibility? A duty for the health of a nation?

I told her, “I like that advice.”

Meanwhile, Portugal is a week and a half away.
