The 7 things I loved about Lisbon.

Here are just a few sights from Lisbon…meanwhile, I’m on the southern coast now and I feel like Alton Brown and Rick Steves combined into one person. I’ve been eating great local cuisine like presunto, vino verdhe, queijo ovelha (and don’t think I haven’t been shaking down every merchant about the origin of their food–hopefully they got an alert from Frankfurt), and compiling my own travel tips…stay tuned.

But first, here are the top 7 things I loved about Lisbon.

7. The charming streets and the sights that greet you around every corner and through every alley.

6. The kiosks where people gather to have a coffee and a snack.

5. The tiles. Everywhere–from the buildings to the sidewalks.

3. The trolley cars. Lisbon has a very San Francisco feel with the trolley cars and the sister to the Golden Gate in the background.

2. The abundance of lemon and orange trees.
