When I was riding my bike this weekend, I noticed these signs on the trees. I thought they were left over from the flea market the day before, but when I looked a little closer, I saw some had names on them, others, just numbers. Then I realized the stripes looked very similar to concentration camp uniforms.

The summary is that there was a concentration camp in Frankfurt for 7 months, and this is to remember those who were prisoners there. The 1600 signs are spread throughout Frankfurt and will remain up fore 7 months. This is a project that was done by the city of Frankfurt.
