The first spiritsunday of May

It was a rainy, cool day in Frankfurt. But I was ok with that.

I did some spring cleaning.

I caught up on the news: the Derby, the fight, the unnamed royal baby, and tried to make some sense of the unrest that has taken hold of one of my former homes. I’m so sad over all that is taking place in Baltimore and I’m trying to get updates from friends, but it’s hard to watch from afar.

I reflected on April and set goals for May. I’m going to get back to setting a daily intention. I find it keeps me focused and mindful throughout the day.

I listened to a few podcasts and read articles on productivity, project planning and inspiring those you work with (look out team, I’m coming in fired up with ideas tomorrow!).

I baked. I hadn’t baked in a while and I had missed it. I found this great recipe on Pinterest and it totally hit the spot for my oatmeal cookie/carrot cake cravings. It uses bananas and applesauce for the sweetener and it’s super easy!

I drank a lot of tea.

I found new music via NPR.

May is here and I’m ready to dance around the proverbial maypole.
