Frau Gerold’s Garten was one of our favorite places we visited in Zürich. It was a little off the beaten path, in what I would call the hipster area to the northwest of town. But making the trek was so worth it.
Frau Gerold’s is a little oasis situated next to the train tracks and nestled amid warehouses and a highway.
It’s kind of a beer garden type restaurant, but with veggies growing in raised planters, colorful graffiti, pillows to lounge on, and a rootop terrace that overlooks the aforementioned train tracks. Aside from the laid back cafe and bar, there are concept stores selling clothes and crafts from local artisans.
It was such a great find and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
I <3 shipping container buildings!!! Awesome
