I take a walk on the little path behind my office every day. I had heard rumors that the field I pass through is a strawberry field, but I was skeptical (side note: I still find it really odd that there’s a big campus of corporate buildings kind of in the middle of this town and fields and rolling hills).
All through the grey winter, I eyed the field.
Then, one day last week, there were people in the field – picking strawberries!
This week, there’s a stand selling the strawberries. I think you can even pick them yourself. If my co-workers didn’t already think I was odd enough with my lunchtime walks and food from home, now I’ll be picking strawberries at lunchtime.
I totally get upick. Johns Island farms welcome the amateur farmer.
YUM!!! 🙂 aww I would totally pick strawberries also!
