A DJ was set up on the Dronning Louises Bro in Copenhagen, playing dance music for all to enjoy.
I’m in Copenhagen for the weekend. We came to check out the European Crossfit regional competition, but I’d much rather explore the city.
We’re staying in Norrebro – a bit of an up-and-coming hipster area.
Last night, we explored a bit of this part of town, and happened upon the Hipsterbroen, or hipster bridge. I had read about this bridge, and as soon as we were walking over it, I realized this was it!
It was full of people hanging out, drinking beer and wine, listening to music. We passed two uber-hipsters on a bench, wearing mirrored aviators, drinking beer, with their boom box next to them pumping 80s rap songs.
We’ve been taking the bus around, and I’m trying really hard to appreciate it. But I’m just not a bus person. I had dreams about taking the bus, until I was awoken by the sunrise at 4am. Thank god I brought my eye mask. When I finally peeled it off at 7, the room was as bright as noon.
So, a little Crossfit today…a little exploring…hopefully a more exploring than Crossfit, but I’ll be sure to get my fill of free protein samples at the arena.
