The weather is the talk of the town. Which is odd to me because shouldn’t the weather not be a topic of conversation anymore in a place where the weather is always unpredictable?

I see people in the office just standing by windows, gazing out.

I always say, “don’t jump!” … which is definitely getting old by now.

Everyone I pass in the hall or run into in the kitchen mentions how depressing it is. How it’s so early this year. And don’t you wish you were still in California?

Meanwhile, my happy light shines on.

It seems my light has become the talk of the town too.

Everyone who comes to my desk asks what it is.

Co-workers who have never even talked to me before are commenting on it.

One who sits a few desks away from me made a comment, “it’s so bright!” (and not in a “I’m glad it’s so bright!” kind of way).

I said, “that’s the point!”

People have asked if I had one in California.

I just answer that question with a huge belly laugh.

“Where did you get it?”

“That’s a good German brand!”

“Doesn’t it hurt your eyes?”

“Does it get rid of wrinkles?”

I’m actually surprised no one has ever heard of one of these SAD lights.

But I’m going to answer all the questions that come my way!

Because fall/winter 2015 will be happy time.
