how to improve your winter in 5 minutes

My current nightly routine looks like this:

  • Get home from work and put on pjs
  • Eat anything with root vegetables, oats, cinnamon
  • Make some root chips
  • Go to bed

Why is winter so hard?!

I fell asleep during yoga today…yoga at noon!

And it’s not even that cold yet.

And I just realized…it’s not even winter yet!!

I.am.doomed.

I was listening to Tim Ferriss’ most recent podcast and he is a fan of the 5 minute journal. I’m giving it a try to add some awareness to my winter days.

5 minutes in the morning: what am I grateful for? what would make today great? I am ___.

5 minutes at night: what amazing thing happened today? how could I have made today better?

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go write my 5 minute journal and get in bed. It’s already 9.
