Today felt like coming home from summer camp.
I spent the last week in Berlin on set with some of my closest work colleagues and friends, shooting our new collection for next year.
Every year, this is the biggest project for the brand, and for me: it’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun.
The hard work is bearable because it’s also extremely rewarding.
Last year, we shot our 2016 looks in a great location in London. In fact, here’s one of the videos I worked on that came from that shoot: KMS 2016 We had a super strong team and have an incredible collection this year.
But what we managed to do this past week was unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of before.
The energy, the talent, the looks–I am blown away.
Working hard with our UK ambassador.
Some of our stylists returned; I’m really close to these guys and love it when we get to work together. We laugh so hard; I was doubled over crying almost every day.
And we have some of the most intense brainstorming and planning sessions that I do all year (funny how that works not being in an office).
We were joined by some new stylists who I worked with for the first time – and I was really impressed at the level of their work and dedication to the brand.
Unfortunately, I can’t go into too much detail or even share pics of where we were–and it’s killing me!
I don’t think I can wait until next year to launch this!
Now comes the editing, post production, creating the story and everything in between.
My brain is spilling over with ideas and my fire is reignited.
This is when the line between job and passion disappears…and only great things can come from that.
