I got a text last weekend from Mara, my friend from Baltimore. She’s taking a quick weekend trip to Amsterdam and asked if I was around.

I had been lamenting the fact that I didn’t have any getaways planned in April.

So I’m hopping over to Amsterdam for the weekend to meet up with her and another friend.

The tulips are out of control here – so I can only imagine what they’re like there.
