Last week’s trip to Spain started on the island of Menorca.
Actually, vacation kicked off at one of the many festivals this time of year in Frankfurt. Mom came in that week, and even though the weather was rainy and cold, we managed to make the most of it.
The next day, we boarded our 5 am flight full of families and babies on their way to what’s known as the untouched island of the Balearic islands.
I guess I would have rather been on a flight full of babies than a flight full of bubble-party seeking teenagers going to Ibiza.
Why Menorca?
I wanted to try something a little different to relax and unwind and found a short, affordable yoga retreat at one of the secluded agri-hotels there.
This place was so quaint and charming:
We did yoga and meditation outside in the mornings and evenings, with the view of this gorgeous garden. It felt like we were miles away from anything (and we kind of were).
