It rains a lot here. But with rain comes rainbows, and I’ve already seen two rainbows (that’s two more rainbows than I ever saw in California). I’m not ashamed to admit I turn into a little kid when I see a rainbow. I get so excited and look around to see if anyone else shares my excitement (usually they do not).
It seemed like everyone was groggy from the weekend today at work. I had a co-worker tell me he was ready for Friday.
I had some girlfriends over on Saturday for Moscow mules and snacks (my German party food includes olives, hummus, veggie sticks, almonds, dates, zucchini bread, turkey meat and haloumi cheese). The occasion was the first meeting of Culture Club. We decided we wanted to start a group that tries different things from museums to restaurants to hikes. We did none of that on Saturday. But we laughed, told stories, shared ideas and went dancing. And we vowed to do it all again soon.
This morning we were already texting about plans for the next festival–it starts Friday…just four short days away. This country really is working for the weekends.
