Spirit Weekend

IMG_1118A building I stumbled upon in my neighborhood. I love it! Totally embodies the fall atmosphere.

Because of the depressing weekend I had last weeekend, and with the unanticipated sudden death of my yellow tree, I was determined to have a great weekend.

I took a couple of long, chilly bike rides, and let me say the rest of the trees are just gorgeous. I really missed all the different colors of fall. At one point, I was riding my bike, leaves were falling down on me, and it felt like I was in a movie (minus a handsome, witty gentleman friend riding beside me).

I met up with a friend at a cute new tea cafe.

I finally made it to the largest bookstore in the city, and discovered their English section. I found some pretty good craft stores (and yes, just like Michaels, the lines were long and there were a lot of old ladies buying yarn…some things don’t change).

I went early to the market and had the place almost to myself.

I cooked a lot. Decorated a little.

Went bouldering.

I was pondering taking a trip over the weekend. But I’m glad I stayed home and fully enjoyed what this city has to offer.
