I’m heading to London tomorrow and I have some serious red, white and blue fever.
I’ve stayed around Frankfurt the past couple of weekends and I’m itching to get out on the road again. It helps that the UK is the closest I can get to home over here–the English language American stores. I love the smell of commerce in the morning!
I probably should be more excited to see all the landmarks, palaces and parks, and the beautiful Thames. But, being deprived of my favorite stores, I am ready do some serious shopping. Anthropologie, J Crew, West Elm, The Gap (again) even Whole Foods!! I’m giddy.
Also. Bookstores and tea. I have a fantasy of finding the perfect bookstore in London and curling up with a cup of tea. I can’t wait to browse all the English language books and drink gallons of tea!
Finally, food. Seafood. Mexican food. Hippie vegan restaurants. I’m seriously missing them all here.
Is there such a thing as shopping til you drop, then reviving yourself with tea and crumpets and guacamole? Well, I plan on finding out.
This won’t be your normal Fodor’s trip to London. Buckingham Palace comes after Whole Foods almond butter and a J Crew cableknit sweater.
