The front desk of the Ace hotel, where I stayed.
Pitfield…an amazing fleamarket with a full cafe inside.
Over the last decade, London’s East End has transformed from run-down backwater–exclusively the preserve of starving artists–into the epicenter of all that’s hipster and creative in the capital. If it’s cool, you’ll find it here first. As poster boy for London’s relentless rejuvenation, Shoreditch is restless with youthful energy; witness unusual concept boutiques, exciting restaurants and pioneering tech start-ups jostling for space in the concrete jungle. Shoreditch may have swapped some of the grime for glamour, but beneath the glossy surface lies a world hopping with creativity.

One of the many restaurants featuring baked goods. I love baked goods!
A really charming store selling old 50s style house products.
T2, a tea store with the funkiest teapots.
And of course, the hipster area wouldn’t be complete without street art.
