I find it hilarious when my friends ask me if I’ve heard of German celebrities.

The question regularly comes up in conversation: “You know the (insert celebrity occuption), (insert name)”

I never know who they’re talking about.

This week it was “You know, the actor, Matthias Schweighöfer”

Me: Blank stare. “The only German actor I know is David Hasselhoff.” But, later I realized I also know Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then I realized he’s Austrian. So, really, I only know David Hasselhoff.
